Hi, I'm Clara
Project manager. A parent. An expat based in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually opened a new chapter of my life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Hidden Prairie Dawn
Most information online was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in France.
